My Automatic Drawing Journey
My automatic drawing journey started back in 2007 when I felt a strong urge to draw. I put pen to paper letting go of any conscious thought of creating a typical drawing. My hand started to move free from thought creating small spirals at first which then developed into larger swirls and lines. Over the weeks, months, and even years I obeyed the instinct to draw and over time as my hand was trained to let go I started to create drawings that resembled people and faces, not just random lines or scribbles.
It has taken many years to attain the level of automatic drawing that I produce today but basically I persevered and as a result many interesting works of automatic art have been created and now for the first time shared via this website for all to see. I must admit, the process of creating an automatic drawing can be rather hit and miss as some drawings are more intricate than others. But nevertheless automatic drawing still amazes me even to this day.
